This is a DeWalt 735x planer with a Shelix segmented helical head. I am planing some hard maple. To reduce snipe, I sent a cutoff piece through first and last. I also insert pieces one right after the other with no gaps in-between. The first series of cuts is very light. The second set is a deeper cut.
